​Kaitlin "Kat" Weeks grew up in Helotes, TX, where she was a private clarinet student of Sara Braisted and Larry Mentzer. In high school, Kat participated in various All-Region bands and orchestras and San Antonio-based summer music festivals. She graduated in the top twenty of her class with music scholarship offers from multiple top universities and conservatories.

While at Texas Christian University, Kat was in the studio of Gary Whitman and Dr. Corey Mackey and participated in all five university ensembles, including the highly selective Symphony Orchestra.  She served as principal clarinetist of the TCU Symphonic Band and performed in several chamber groups and community ensembles. Kat was also a member of the TCU guitar studio and steel pan percussion ensemble. While a full-time student, Kat maintained a private lesson studio of 10 students.  Kat graduated with academic honors from TCU in 2022 with a Bachelor of Instrumental Music Education.

Kat enlisted in the Texas Air National Guard in 2021 and currently serves as a musician for the Air National Guard Band of the Southwest. She plays in the concert band and clarinet quartet and works as a recruiting agent in the Recruiting and Accessions shop. During her time in the band, she has performed locally in the DFW area and throughout New Mexico and California. Kat is grateful for the opportunity to serve and humbled to function as an advocate and ambassador for the arts. Kat currently maintains a private clarinet studio and performs on clarinet, sax, and flute in various ensembles. Through her passion for performing, exploring new places, and teaching her students, Kat has engendered a self-motivated attitude and a lifelong love and commitment to music.
